Middle Branch Nashwaaksis Stream Fishing Report on 18th Jan, 2024

Today was just a lucky day ! The Ciancio family came out with me, while Paul was setting up the kite rods, I dropped a live bait in right on top of an Amberjack. Literally we weren't fishing one minute and we had a fish on! Later we had a mystery fish steal a live bait off of the inside kite rod, then he grabbed the live bait off of the outside kite rod and we realized it was a Mahi when he started jumping. Unfortunately two jumps later he dropped the bait, but...I was lowering another deep bait on the other side of the boat and he grabbed that and we got a solid hook up. Two big fish in the fishbox ! We then got a couple of red groupers which we had to release because the season is now closed, one of them had a spaghetti tag. A couple more reef fish and we were done !
